On another list I'm on, people have had great success by putting an easily
washable rock, or even a soda or beer can with some gravel in the bottom, in
the middle of a pee pad. I also remember someone using a small log, but of
course that can't be washed well and might keep an odor. Another "leg
lifter" owner taped a pee pad so half of it was on the wall, half of it on
top of another pee pad on the floor.
Many people who have had their male dogs neutered before they formed the
marking habit have commented that their dogs never stopped squatting to pee.
