I agree with Marsha. They may be licking us for the taste of food or sweat, BUT my Chi will not kiss just anyone with food or sweat sticking to them. :) He is very particular! The other clue is that he kisses us when he first sees us after a separation than he does if we've all been hanging out for a few hours. That suggests it's a greeting.
