Attempted biting is a serious problem, and I'd be tempted to find a
professional to help -- an obedience trainer who uses positive reinforcement
ONLY, such as clicker training. It sounds as though your chihuahua does not
like children and may have even been abused by one in the past. As I said,
I'd find a good professional trainer to work with your dog.

In the meantime, there's a file in the group's home page called "dealing
with a hostile/fearful dog" or something like that -- I put it there, but I
can't remember the title of my own file.<G> You might look at that, and
your nephew is old enough to be able to follow those recommendations in
dealing with your chi.
