You MUST have your dog looked at by a vet and immediately!!!  Internal
injuries are very likely, having been hit by a car.  He could have
ruptured internal organs or internal bleeding.  Any of these would 
cause vomiting.  

It's a terrible way to die, and he should either be helped or put out
of his misery.  Sorry if I sound preachy or harsh, but letting a 
severely injured animal "linger" in suffering intense pain and nausea
is ... well cruelty. 

So sorry it happened.  I have faced terrible choices with pets too, so
I know how badly you must feel.
