I never had a Chi that sat still for one, they are
smart about their own bodies.  And I don't let my
Chi's run free outside so collars and leashes are
not all that important to me.  I use a soft
shoulder bag (airplane suitable) carrier if the
dog must be protected while out. My Chi's also
have not been happy car riders and certainly would
not be loose in a car as small as they are, one
trip with my boy beneath my driving feet and
pedals was all I needed to learn that.
