hi everyone,
i just adopted a rescue chi who is 8yrs old, she's 5lbs. Oyin, my
chi, had most of her teeth removed after she was rescued because
they were in bad condition. she only has 4 front teeth - incisors -
and won't eat much at all.
her foster mother fed her wet-food because of the teeth situation;
she gave me a couple of cans when i adopted Oyin, but now she won't
eat it. her foster mother also used to feed her cheerios as a
treat, and that's the only thing she will eat (she also begs for
table food, but i don't want to give her table food since she's not
eating her dog food.
is there a brand of dry dog-food that's soft enough for her to eat
with 4 teeth - especially since she has no molars? anyone here have
a similar experience? i just adopted her on friday, and am awaiting
a vet appointment for after the holidays. i'm worried that she'll
lose nutrients from only taking cheerios.
