Barbara,
That's one of the best things about it - she is safely restrained and can
either look out the window (back or front) and also see us in the car, or she
can lay down and take a nap if she gets tired of looking. It's great!

Rein has the first car seat shown below (hope the pictures come out) and,
along with the other two shown, can be found on PetsMart's website. Rein likes
it because she can see out the window or lay down and take a nap in it. You
have to use a harness because that's what the seat connects to so the baby
doesn't jump out.
