Laws regulating the age at which puppies and kittens may be taken from their parents are state laws, not federal. And MANY federal laws go out the window once you board a plane, even for domestic travel, because planes are governed by aviation law. For instance, even the ADA is restricted in its application on planes.....SD's do not have the same access rights. Many times people on oxygen are prohibited from taking oxygen on board...all sorts of examples could be mentioned.
I don't doubt your ability to properly care for your new furbaby and I am sure she will do great in your care, but I do gotta disagree that it was good for her to be taken from her mom at that age unless she was in a neglectful situation. Sometimes circumstances do require a pup to be taken at a young age due to the situation the momma dog is in. In fact, a lady on a nother group I am on just recently got a 3 week old chi because the breeder was severely neglecting the mom and pup. The lady then went directly to her senator to ask why her state did not have laws prohibiting this. A law is now in the state senate and if passed, will be named after that pup! (I am soo proud of this lady for taking those steps!!) As a professional I know the pup will be better with her mum until it's 3 months old. But as a professional I also know that as long as she gets the nutrition she needs, she'd be fine.
