I bought two reversible dress-harnesses because I
wanted the softer less binding method of leash and
harness. The item will only be worn when the dog
is taken out and that most likely will only be
when I take the dog to the vet. I do not take
such small dogs out for many other reasons. I live
in a highrise condominium and we have some huge
dogs in residence. I would be afraid of
encountering a large dog with either of my
Chihuahuas on leash on the grounds. There is talk
about creating a dog run. If and when that
happens, I probably would take them out during the
day when others are at work because I think the
dogs do love to be out. I used to walk my Mini
Pin and Chihuahua on a dual leash and they were in
heaven smelling and scratching every piece of
earth along the way to and fro -- but that was
before so many large dogs appeared among the
residents.
Anyway, the harness dresses are cool, I bought
them on eBay, they reverse, providing four
different looks, they have D-rings for attaching a
leash, they didn't cost all that much. I sent
through a url for the eBay lady I bought them
from, she does really good work. My son thinks I
am nuts, that dogs are dogs and have lived all
their lives without clothes, but my concern is
that they are not native to North America and that
they are cold and do need some protection. My Mini
Pin was always cold. His favorite spot was on the
couch beneath an afghan.
