I started to watch the video...although as a Deaf person, I couldn't hear what it was saying, I could see where it was going...I couldn't watch it. I am a big animal lover and can't deal with animals in pain, dying, ect. I oppose euthanization for most any reason. Including eating for me, since I am a vegetarian. I also refuse to wear animal products (leather, fur, ect) and check all HBA's to make sure they are not animal tested. I am actively involved in animal rights organizations and with rescue groups. I am also a breeder. No this is not contradictory in my opppinion. If no one purposely bred, we would still have cats and dogs, but we would only have mixed breeds. Don't get me wrong I love mixed breeds and have a few myself, but I also have a special passion for a Chihuahua and can't imagine life without these little furbabies. If no one bred them, chis as we know them would not exist. Breeding is serious undertaking that should be done for the purpose of improving a breed, not for making money or something. I think we should all do everything we can to assist unwanted animals rather it be adoption, foster, volunteer or financial assistance, but that doesn't mean no one should ever breed.
I am not trying to say you don't think anyone should breed. My understanding of what you wrote was "think about it first", but at the same time, I just felt I had to defend breeders in case anyone else thought that.
