I would still offer that option for a little bit if I were you, and always try
to encourage him to use it. I have found that where the REAL problem will come
in to play is when he gets the scent of a female in heat; THAT'S WHEN THE
CONFUSION WILL REALLY SET IN! My male had to initiate EVERYTHING!
Needless to say I had to pull all of the carpet and get new furniture after I
had gotten him nutered, but he doesn't pee on the furniture anymore.
I don't use those "wee wee" pads that are suppose to be scented to entice a
dog. They are way too pricy and I think they confuse some dogs (makes them
wonder where the other dog is). I buy the bed pads in the "incontinant" section
at wallmart because they are MUCH cheaper and they cover more area.
Well, I guess I have barked (so to speak) long enough. I wish you luck!

I think he's probably confused too. I wanted him to have the option
to go inside if he has
to...just to be nice, I guess-silly?! Also, there have been some accidents in
the 6 months
that I've had him. He has never pooped in the house, but he has peed, not in a
while, but
I'm not sure why he had done it in the past and then there was the rain issue.
I may just be
being neurotic. I haven't been working since I got him, he's my first dog-ever
and I'm
about to strart a new job and want him to be happy and comfy ( he will also
have a dog
walker).... I just thought it would be nice if he were p-pad trained, but
perhaps it's mroe
trouble than it's worth..
