i love to sleep with my little babies. I sleep on a queen sized bed with Pablo, my chi, Tobi, my cat (she likes to sleep under the covers with Pablo), my husband, and about 3 other cats who hop on and off the entire night. Pita sleeps in a little bed in a chair next to my bed. I push up it to the side of the bed so she can climb out onto my bed and go under the covers. I don't care what professional dog handlers say, I am not one, so I can sleep with my family. I prefer it that way. I think its great! -- em :)

However I did not think that was the poster's question. I have always done it and will continue to do so. No matter what those professional dog people say. When they are tiny they need the warmth and protection of their surrogate mum, as they miss the warmth and comfort of their mum, brothers and sisters. Later as they grow older I find that it is I who feels safe and nurtured as they vie for the best place next to me. In winter they snuggle close and in summer they splay out on top of the covers. I realise I am not being politically correct but if I want to end up on a 1/4 of the bed that is my affair. Even when I was married I shared my bed with my beloved and now I am alone I do have a Queen sized bed so I feel that I have plenty of space for 2 tiny Chis and me and maybe the odd cat or 2.lol.
