Hi Sherry,

Max is crated during the night. It is his safe little place, where he has his
basket and blanket to sleep. He loves it. It is now nearly 8 a.m. and I don't
have to open it up now, for he wouldn't come out of it. It is still dark
outside. Not nice to go walking, especially not after the heavy storm of
yesterday, a lot of branches and other rubbish on the streets and in the parc.

I only work on wednesday from 9-12 as a volunteer in the hospital and in that
period he is crated too. He doesn't bother to go in, goes in his bed and is
quiet.

My daughter has several crates for her rescued dogs. The new ones sleep beside
her bed until they are used to the new surroundings and then move further to
the landing, the hallway and then the living to sleep.

I have 2 cats, they sleep in the kitchen at night. When I am out, I wouldn't
like cat-dog fights here, so it is also for safety.

Klarie

Oh wow so I guess if we work and have our babies in a crate we are bad Chi
moms?

I work as a teacher and my baby is crated from 7-11, let out and then crated
11-3 every day. She is also crated at night as I really don't want to risk her
falling off my bed (a fall that would kill her).
I hope I just misread your posting as I am pretty perturbed right now. I feel
that my baby is safer in a crate then roaming where she could possibly get
herself in trouble. I definitely don't want her going out via the doggie door
to be prey for a bird. I feel like crating her is for her own safety and good.

Sherry
