      Hi!

I am new to the group, Ric from Las Vegas. I have a German Sheppard,
Romanov, and 4 Chi's. I only meant to have one! My previous one was
hit by a car and a dear friend wanted to bring a relative of his from
Mexico to help me in my grief. Before he came back I met a man on
the street selling his puppies, they were not being taken care of and
looked very malnourished so I bought one. It had almost no hair and
reminded me of a pig so I named her Lupita from the pig in the movie
the Milagro Beanfield War. My friend then bought me my second in
Mexico. As he was crossing the border a big U S Customs Officer came
running over yelling at him "NO, NO, NO! You can't bring that dog
into the US she is not a US Citizen!" He then had a little ceremony
for her making her an honorary US citizen with everyone applauding! I
named her Frida after Frida Kahlo.

Two years later I bred Lupita with my friends male and we had 5
boys! We named them Lucias, Sylvester, John-Paul, Benedict, and
Leo, all after Popes! I sold all right away but the person that
wanted Sly and Lucias had to have surgery and I promised to hold them
until she felt better. Well she changed her mind and I was too much
in love with them by this time anyway. So here we are.

Romanov could not be more gentle, she seems to think she is the
Mother of the babies that never grow up!

I am 47 and disabled and can't imagine my life without them.

Christmas Eve Lupita got out and was hit by a car and is limping
around in a cast, only a broken leg! We were very lucky.

Anyway that's our story and I am so glad to have found this group!
