Welcome Kellie! Charlie is a real cutie!! I'm not sure if the way we trained
our bigger dogs to let us know they had to go out would be the same for chis or
not, so I'll let others experienced with this answer. My little Rein (9 month
old long coat chi) is p-pad trained in the house, so I haven't trained her to
let us know if she has to go out.
I know you'll enjoy this group - caring people and a wealth of loving chi
knowledge!

Hi everyone! My name is Kellie, me and my husband are
enjoying our first chihuahua. He is 12 weeks old and
his name is Charlie. I will attach a picture because
I'm not sure how to insert it in the email. We are
having one problem with Charlie. For the first few
weeks we had him he seemed to be doing perfect at
housetraining. Everytime we would take him outside he
would go and he wasn't having many accidents in the
house. Now it seems he has gotten worse, not better.
He is having more accidents than before in the house.
He is not scared and hiding, he will pee right in
front of us. Its like if we take him outside he knows
to go outside but he doesn't know not to go inside.
How did you all teach your dogs to let you know they
need to go outside. I tried to put a bell on the door
and ring it everytime he goes out but he is just
scared of the bell. Any suggestions would be very
helpful.. other than this he is an excellent dog.. he
can already sit and spin.. thanks for listening and
thanks for any help!!
Kellie
