I also never bathed my Mini Pin and there's
probably a similarity to a short coat Chihuahua.
Twice a year baths were done by my vet when nails
were groomed, ears cleaned, shots given, the long
coat clipped to be cooler in warm weather, and
when fleas were being fought if a problem.
I did use a wet paper towel if the Mini Pin got
into something. I would do the same to my Chi's
butt. With my long hair Chi I find I have to
occasionally scissor off butt hair, no other way
to solve the problem of a smooshed messed up butt.
I think my baby Chi almost smells like a human
baby. Only difference is that human baby smells
are often covered up with Johnson powder smells.
