Subject: Re: [Chihuahuas] training

I took Hershey to puppy kindergarden and they used the clicker method. It
worked like a charm. I used tiny pieces of no fat weiners and she would do
anything for a piece. Timing is everything with the clicker training. I
wasn't a fan until I tried it. I guess they use it to train zoo animals like
giraffes etc. so it will work for a stubborn chihuahua. lol...Brenda

Any suggestions for training to sit, come, stay, and down for my 2.5lb
Raina. The harness is not working for training, and I'm afraid of a collar.
She likes to back up when it comes to training commands. Normally she walks
fine with the harness and coupler with Tito. She just is not listening well
off the leash, (even with treats) and I must act now. She is 5 months old.
Don't want to wait any longer for bad habits to set in. She does sit for her
treats when she's rewarded for the pee pee pad which she has mastered thank
goodness. Thanks to all

Thank to all who respond.
