how old is he? If he is real young, it may just be that he is more interested
in exploring the world around him than eating or learning. Give him a little
while to explore his new surroundings first......

  Subject: [Chihuahuas] not eating treats

Yeaaaa! I finally got my baby chi! I haven't named him yet, I am
looking for a good male name, possibly mexican. I will be looking for
a playmate soon too even though he does fantastic alone! He has the
biggest ears, it looks like he could take off if he was in the air!
He's mostly black and white but has a tinsy bit of brown on his head.
Funny how they choose their owners, I had my heart set on a blue chi
but my heart melted when I saw him!

Anyway, I just got him sunday and have tried 3 different types of
treats but won't take them from my hand...therefore the sit command
hasn't worked. He just stares off, still, when I place a treat
infront of his nose. Hopefully it's just him not used to so many new
things yet. Any suggestions? Possibly cheese? Have tried both hard
and soft treats. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!---both for
  treats or names!

  Joan
