Well she went out to get them from their crates in thoer
heated garage and she found her new momma dead with the one pup she had
left in the crate snuggled against her. And them the other 3 looked
bad...not hardly responding and she took them to an emergency vet who
did all sorts of blood work that had to be sent off and they said it
was renal failure and thought at first Lepto but then they decided
their food must have been tainted. Three more they kept on IV's and
antibiotics and I don't know what all for days. They lingered between
this life and the next...it was horrible. But they did live! But one is
totally blind now. She watches them carefully for any decrease in urine
production as they were in serious renal failure.
It has been a real nightmare and you know the sad sad
thing about it was they autopsied one and said that but she isn't sure
she could prove it and what I was going to say is so sad is that the
darned ground was frozen and she couldn't even bury her babies for
several days because she didn't want them cremated . She wanted them
where she could visit them.
I am crying as I type this so going to quit for now.

I also forgot to say they went into seizures also for
watch for abnormal eye movement or uncordination walking or sitting.
That stuff is what her vet told her to watch for.
