When my dogs get diarrhea, I feed them boiled chicken and white rice for a day
or two. It always seems to help. Put some water in the chicken and rice so he
gets enough fluids. Chicken is a lot easier on their tummies than greasy
hamburger. What kind of flavor Wellness are you feeding Eddie? They have a
flavor called Fish and Sweet Potato that usually is easier for dogs with
sensitive tummies to digest. Also, when you change food brands, always do so
slowly. Slowly add a little new food to the old food and keep increasing the
amount of new food for the first few days.
I have an Aussie with a sensitive stomach. Any change in his diet caused
diarrhea. I have been feeding him Canidae brand dry food for a year and he
does great on that. I also feed it to my other Aussie and my Chi. They all do
great on it. I remember that my Aussie (with the sensitive tummy) never really
had a nice firm stool when he was a pup. I was feeding him Iams at first ( I
will never use Iams again). Since I switched to Canidae, he has pretty much
been perfect. It also gives the dogs a nice, shiny coat.
Just a suggestion. I am sure there are lots more great foods out there.
Wellness is good, too, but Eddie may be sensitve to a certain ingredient. You
may want to try the fish and sweet potato flavor of Wellness. Also, I would
never feed canned food, IMO, no matter what brand. Dry is all they need. Good
luck.

Eddie is sick again....he had diarrhea last night and has had it for
the past few days. I have recently switched over his food and i am
thinking he doesnt like it. I will feed him hamburg/rice for the next
few days, but i am feeding him Wellness and now that i think back the
past 10 days his stool has never really been firm. Is there another
brand out there you can reccomend? He has tried Science Diet and we
did not like that, and we were on Wellness. I was researching Royal
Canine and that looked pretty good. Any suggestions, tips??
Thanks Noelle
