Pepper had both undecended testicles...as did my Joe who has passed. Joe never was neutered and never sired either. Pepper did sire and was later neutered because the undecended testicles were pushing on his stomach cavity and preventing any healthy weight gain. If son's get this from daddy's, I can understand why Pepper's was causing problems, because his son Salt had HUGE ones!! lol. Salt had to be neutered simply because he was so big that when he set down he got carpet burns there....I kid you not!! lol...so imagine those on the inside!! lol. Pepper done well with his surgery. He had not dropped on the one side so surgery was intense for him. Poor little thing had a dime sized bruise and was in pain. I called the vets office and they told me it was OK to give hime pain med's 2 times a day for 2-3 days then decrease to one time a day. I never had a dog who had not dropped before.
