My little chi did this also at a very young age and I had to make a decision to stop the behavior or she had to go.  She brought blood from my youngest daughters hand for NO reason.  I saw the entire event.  Your pup is now defining where shes at in the pecking order at your home and seems to be a little confused about her rank. May I suggest a book....the dog listener by Jan Fennel and also my vet told me to go get a muzzle (we got size 0) and just handle her all we wanted with it on.  He said to put her on her back and hold there for 20 minutes at a time with NO pain to her.  Use it for three or four sessions during a weekend and I promise that once she gets that she's not the alpha you'll have a great dog.  Its almost as though a weight is lifted from them and you can see it leave their face.  My chi still to this day loves to grab my pant leg as I return home or go to let her outside but now it is a playful thing instead of a flurry or teeth.   svtheanimals2 wrote: We brought our pup home about 2 weeks ago.
