My 3 year old chi is completely potty trained and doesn't make mistakes indoors. My 10 month old chi is potty trained (she will pee outside vs inside if I am home) but will use the pee pad if I am not home as she can not hold it in too long. I just took her out every hour to pee and praised her when she did and now she prefers to pee outdoors. When she was just a tiny puppy, she was pee pee pad trained but you can still outdoor train her for summer and times when the whether is not too bad. She is not confused at all. When I am home and she wants to pee, she goes to the door and sometimes barks. I think she learned this from the older chi though. But the older chi learned this on her own.

He appears to no problem in drinking his water and eating his food even though both r in the cage. Not sure how to go about (except slowly) eventually moving the Whizdog out of the Backyard Cage. My thinking is when he gets older I will wean him from the cage to a doggie bed/basket and put the Wizdog in the laundry room. Our home is a very small ranch plus I do have 2 other dogs. I have a gate up between my kitchen and living room so the min. pinscher and doxie don't go in there. The bathroom/laundry is off of living room hallway.
