The only time I ever hear Bridgette growl is when I tell her mommys gotta go to
work, she really hates it. When she was a pup she growled while playing with
her toys but grew out of it.

tolerated and dealt with a loud firm no. I did have a dog that went into
submission but kept growling at me when it thought I was crowding it. While it
was down I put my hand over it's neck and gently held it down. When it stopped
growling and was truly submissive I removed my hand. At no time during this did
I hurt the dog, it just had to know that I was alpha, just like it's real
mother.

I have a little girl that growls a lot. I guess it's an independent trait,
some do and some don't. I don't know that it's harmful.

Is growlilng a breed trait? I've never had a dog that growls so much. If he's
sitting next to
us, and we move and he's crowded.... growl. If we lean over him.... growl.
