My Molly growls non stop when she is protecting a treat beside her ...that she will guard for hours . She won't bite. We tried the alpha roll when she was a pup to no avail. I believe she does it more to tell the other dogs - this treat is mine. Baby is also a growler should food be involved . 4 out of 6 little ones here do this? I cannot explain the reasoning .

I guess it's an independent trait, some do and some don't. I don't know that it's harmful. Jeannine tabascojackpepper <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: Is growlilng a breed trait? I've never had a dog that growls so much. If he's sitting next to us, and we move and he's crowded.... growl. If we lean over him.... growl.
