This is how we broke Bogie of the biting our hands. First your puppy needs some good chew toys. He is chewing on the wood because he has a need to chew. We got bogie 2 deer antlers and some other chew toys. The deer antlers have marrow in the center. I was so surprised when he actually chewed on them because he never liked chew toys at all. Second when Bogie would bite our hands we would make a fist and keep it that way, when he would lick instead of bite then we would praise him. I also kept a spray bottle of water handy. When he would bit I would spray (mist) directly in his face with a stern no or a low growl. This worked for us. Good luck Sheila "Life is what happens when you are busy making plans".

However, he seems to love wood and picks up and chews twigs and branches. Have to watch him constantly. He also wants to constantly bite the fingers of the person holding him, any advise?
