It sounds like your pup is jus sore from it's shots. They will be very tender,
very tired and may even run a low grade fever after getting their shots.
Nothin to worry about. Your vet should have explained all of this to you.
When I took my four Chihuahua babies in to get their first shots and to be
wormed, a couple of them did the same thing. I just left them alone for the
day cause anytime I tried to pick one up, he/she would yelp like you're killing
them. Just give them a couple days and the tenderness will go away. They are
just small dogs so it hurts them more. No bigie. =)

            Mare,
I learned to worm a puppy with Nemex a week before giving shots, then give
the shots and not such a big shot to such a little puppy. Take charge at your
vet's office - he works for you - and tell him what you need. Don't let him
just do what he does to any and all dogs, this is your dog and he's different.
He doesn't need the same shot as a great dane if he's a tiny dog.

  Are you misspelling Nemex?
  Because Nemex is a wormer.
IF your baby had worms bad enough he could be bleeding internally. I do not
want to scare you...I really don't but please please call an emergency number.

I hope someone can help me. I took Nino to the vet today around 4pm. He got
a DHLPP #2 and a NEMAX Suspension. Now, he is in pain. It seems like his belly
hurts. I can't pick him up or even pet him without him yelping!! He is sleepy
and wants to lie down but yelps when he does! What should I do? I'm new to this
puppy raising stuff. I called the Vets office and they are
closed.Someone...ANYONE, please please give me some advice!! Is this normal
after getting a shot and the suspension? Or is something else wrong??
