Being a tech i will answer. Every puppy or dog that comes in for vacs, I
warn them of a reaction possibility. I also suggest they stay 30 minutes
after in case swelling or other problems arise. If they choose not to
wait i tell them to give benedryl as soon as the pup acts sluggish. I
would also like to add that we DO NOT give lepto the first 2 visits. On
the third visit we allow the owner to read a pamphlet on this and make
the decision themselves. As well as on the adults that come in. Corona we
dont give on the first visit either. Only the third and yearly visits.
I also want to warn everyone that I see reactions to the rabies
vacs too. So please be careful even with adult dogs
