my dalmatian had stones in his bladder and two very expensive surgeries. My vet told me to put him on science diet u/d for the rest of his life. It was an expensive diet so one day I asked another vet what I could do and this is what she suggested.....my dog lived for 14years on this.
rice, hard boiled egg, one tablespoon of veg. oil and one tablet of calcium carbonate, 1 teaspoon of salt. we never measured all of this out we just made a big bowl of this for him maybe 3 or 4 cups of rice already cooked and two eggs. you might ask your vet if they have ever heard of this or not. It worked great for us and my dog passed away at 16yrs.
