Hi, They probably ARE scabs with hairs coming out :o). My Bessie had a really big bump on her leg that was under her hair, and it did end up being a scab ... it IS hard to tell though because the scab ends up with the hair all through it, so you don't see the actual scab. If you put neosporin or another topcial antibiotic on it, it will help you see it a little better. You should be able to see the skin, and the slight red area around the bump. If you close your eyes and just feel the bump with your fingers, you should be able to tell if it feels like a scab or not - it's the hair that is throwing you off. With Bessie, we just put the neosporin on every day, twice a day, and in a week or so, the scab fell off and then there was a nice little bald pink healed spot where it was. I have no idea how she got a cut the size of a pea, unless it was her and Elsa playing! Shell

Hi I am just wondering...My litter is two weeks old on wed. I have noticed a bump on a couple of the puppies. it is on their back and is tiny like a little scab with hairs coming out. It looks at first like you could just wash it off, but you can't. I called the vet and she said it could be a scratch from the mom moving them around. I am going to make an appointment if it isn't gone in a day or so or if it gets any worse, I was just wondering if any of you have seen this? the pups don't seem to be bothered with it, but I am.. Thanks
