I stopped using the litter because Cesar not only made a mess with it but ate it as well. So, I went to using the newspaper. It works fine, as long as he leaves it alone but sometimes he will pull it out and make a mess of it. At almost 5 mos, I have stopped giving Cesar his noon meal, because he would just take a few bites and leave the rest. Now, I just give him two meals a day, in the morning and in late afternoon. So, I am surprised at how much poop he makes. He poops at least six or seven times a day and they are a sizable amount of soft (not runny but soft) poop. Is that normal? All of the books talk about the "small mess" Chis make with their poop but I can tell you Cesar's poops are not that small. Gloria
