Yeah, carpet is disgusting..especially when you see what comes out of it when
it gets cleaned!
We have a leather couch, that's another option to help with the dust mites. I
also spray "natures miracle" around a lot. It seems to cut down on the
allergens and is safe to use around animals. They usually sell it in Petco or
Petsmart or really any pet dept. It also does a fantastic job of getting
dog/cat urine smell out of blankets/clothes. I just put about 1/8 cup in my
wash and they don't smell at all.
Also, have you changed detergents or fabric softeners or washed the dogs bed
in anything new? My husband gets horrible hives from pretty much all detergents
except Arm and Hammer and the "free" of fragrance ones. I have noticed that
some fabric softners make me itch too, so I would look into that.

left to be allergic to are the pine trees outside, and my husband says they
stay, he won't pay to have them removed. But those are ideas for you.

Dust is one of her allergens. She never thought of that vent being the
culprit, out of sight out of mind.

to dust; that is sooo weard though that my dogs would take on that same trate.
