Mare, I am sorry the baby will have to loose his eye. It really isn't as bad as
it seems. I had one that lost an eye after being hit by a car. She did fine
with it. Dogs adjust remarkably well. As for the new home...if they are as
loving as you feel, and they still want the little fellow, maybe it would be
for the best. Especially if they have few or no other dogs and can make this
one a special spoilty :-)

  Subject: [Chihuahuas] ~UNO~

Hi everyone I just wanted to request some prayers and good thoughts
whatever for our little Cairn puppy Uno.
He is 16 weeks old and is adorable, But he has had bad eye problems
lately. The vet said he thought the eye was too far gone but wanted to try
antibiotics anyway. Well it appeared like they were working well. Uno was
playful and barking happily and having a wonderful time.
But early yesterday I noticed him being quiet and just sitting :(
So I looked further and his eye was huge and his eye looked like it
would pop out it was so grotesqly
Swollen and he had a lot of green exudate.
So we went to the vet and he is having his eye removed this afternoon
and they say I can maybe bring him home tomorrow.
I had promised this little guy to a loving home but how can I give him
up now?
Thanks for hearing me out once again.
        Mare
