I don't want to scare you, but if your pom is dringing and peeing too much you 
may want to have her checked for diabetes.  Excessive thirst and urination is a 
sign - if there is too much sugar in the blood (human or dog, it's all the 
same) nature gives them the urge to drink in order to flush it out, and then 
they pee.  

My daughter was 11 when she came home from school crying because she had gotten 
detention for leaving class to go to the bathroom.  She had been doing it too 
frequently the past week so the  teacher had refused to let her - she'd walked 
out anyway rather than wet herself and ended up in detention.  I knew the signs 
and kept her home from school to take her to the doctor the next morning.  She 
is now 20 and has been a diabetic for 9 years.

i have one dog a pom pom and another who is a chi. the pom pom is over 
drinking and therfore over peeing I use pee pads. would it hurt 
eitherone if i put down the water dish twice a day? ilove my dogs but 
the amount is unbleivable.
