Hi I wouldn't have her put down, its not her fault.
I have a rescue chi/pom Tiko. We have had him for about three years and he
is just in the last few months began to act like a little dog instead of a
fearful creature.I dont know his past only the fact that he was abused cause
he has a deformed back hip from it. He was about three when I brought him
home and he was scared of everything especially my daughter and hubby. He
spent most of his time hiding under a desk. I have the luxury of staying at
home so I just gave him the time he needed to get comfortable with us. Just
last month he went into my bedroom for the first time voluntarily and jumped
on the bed, he is now comfortable with my daughter petting him and he thinks
he is big stuff when he barks at my hubby LOL.
It takes time and patience and love but it is well worth it.
Good Luck Cindy
