Well, thank you, everyone, for answering me so quickly. It sounds like she's
very normal and I just need to get used to the breed. It's good to know that
she can have bursts of energy and then want to take a nap. I just took her
for a nice 1/2 hour walk and her energy level was fine. She played for another
5 minutes, but then got sleepy and fell asleep in my arms. Hee Hee. I'll
just bundle her up with lots of sweaters and blankets for the winter. She
rarely
shakes due to nervousness (She just keep her tail way under her then), so I
know it's from the cold. Her paws, tips of ears and nose are cold. Once
she's warmed up, she stops shaking.
Thanks for the good tips about her food, too. Maybe, I'll combine the
snack period into a small meal and she might be happier.
She's just too cute and she is such a good girl. I'm happy to have her
since the previous onwers used to hit her and had her collar on so tight that
it
was almost embedded. The marks are still there two months later. (The first
thing I did was take off the old collar and throw it away. The lady had made
a hole in the collar where no hole was to make it even tighter than normal.
SICK!!!! I was her neighbor and I used to try to help her. I bought her a new
collar, told her CONSTANTLY that the old one was too tight. She took my new
collar and made a hole in it and tigheneed it just like before...AY AY. I was
soo happy when she said she wanted to get rid of it because it wouldn't eat.
I told her right there and then I'd buy it from her because she told me she
was going to put an ad in the paper to sell it. How pathetic. They moved to
Georgia and I heard she just got another chihuahua. She should be shot.
Well, thanks again for everyone's help. Chiquita (I've shortened her name
to Kita) says thank you, also. Terry
