Due to my short time right now, I don't have time to reply to each individual post response to my post regarding free feeding, but I did want to add that I do understand about those who cant free feed due to the fact that their chis are rescues, ect....but that is kinda what I was talking about....since they were not free fed from the beginning, they have lost that ability to regulate their food intake....that is what I meant by free feeding from weaning on....that way they learn....but it is nearly impossible to begin free feeding once they have already been fed on schedules......which is why I recommend free feeding for puppies.....to get them use to it.
