Hello, I have been a part of this group only for a short time now, and I want to introduce myself. I live in Buford, Ga. and have owned Chihuahuas for the past 12 years. I also have participated in animal rescue for the past 5 years. I was also shelter manager for a humane society and have worked in the veterinary field.
Over the past few years, I have worked with many homeless Chihuahuas in finding them new homes based on their special needs. I have now reached the point where I feel that it is time to start my own rescue group for Chihuahuas in Georgia. Currently, I am in the process of filing for incorporation and 501c3 status. The reason I am so excited to be a part of this group as I am seeking foster homes and volunteers to lend expertise to the group. This is a great time to do so because there is no other breed specific Chihuahua rescue in Ga. Our group will hopefully lay the foundation.
