a 15 to 20 year life span is not unusual for a healthy chi without any accidents. Of course there will be those who even exceed that. I think the oldest I have personally heard of was like 22 or something.
I have only lost 2 adult chis so far. One died at 16 from numerous health issues, but mostly heart probs and breathing probs. The other adult was not a natural death........ How old was she? What killed her? I am interested in learning what is the average life span of Chihuahuas and other than accidents, what is most often the cause of their death.
