The fluffier ones are said to have an undercoat.......the ones that are like you are describing do not have an undercoat or may be a rough coat, although I have never personally really seen the ear and tail fringes on a rough coat, I am sure they exist. Marsha

They lose a lot of fur before they start to get in the adult coat and look like the moths have taken up residence in them*G* Her coat got really thin too.
