I really shouldn't be offering an option on this since mine are fed home cooked
food too but I found that when I got a new pup and started putting kibble down,
they showed more interest if it was only put down for about 30 mins at a time,
three or four times a day. Also, it I only fed one and shooed the others away
all the time, they were much more interested in what they were missing! If you
can just get one eating the kibble, the other will follow I'm sure. Try
concentrating on the one that seems most amenable to it.
Or have you tried raw tripe for them? Mine absolutely LOVE it (I buy it in
frozen packs) but you can't feed it all the time cos it's very high in protein.
(Plus of course they're not getting the other veggies etc) But if they like it,
try gradually mixing the kibble in.
Alternatively, if all else fails, what about an easier way of cooking their
food?
I have a huge slow cooker, the biggest I could find. I throw in a load of
chicken pieces (or lamb shanks if I can get them cheap - God they LOVE those!),
frozen mixed veg, a couple of handfuls of rice and just leave it either all day
or overnight. Then I just take the bones out and divide it into 7 trays and
freeze it. You could use boneless chicken (or beef or whatever) to make it
easier but I like them to have the goodness out of the bones and if it's beef
ribs or something, my bigger dogs have the bones.
Incidentally, I'm in the UK and have never heard of Chihuahua 28. Can someone
tell me who makes it as my hubby is in the US at the moment and I'd be
interested in him bringing some back to try

Switching from human food to pet food will take time if that's what you've
been feeding for so long. How long do you leave the kibble down before
reverting back to people food? Do they like to eat dog cookies/biscuits? You
said you've tried introducing it slowly, how exactly?
When we switched Daisy from puppy kibbles to adult she just stared at them.
She didn't eat for about a day and a half. Hunger eventually won, though.
Also, If I act all excited about giving her a kibble it might as well be a
special treat. Maybe you could use the kibbles as treats and your dogs will
learn to be excited over them? I don't know how slowly you've tried to make
the switch. I'd use whatever they're used to and just put in a few kibbles at
a time... kinda like sneaking veggies to a kid. Then maybe like every other
day put in a few more kibbles. If they have been on home cooked meals for
years, I really think it will take awhile. Perhaps you can mix some kibble
with warmed chicken broth, that might make it more appealing. Have you tried
the Chicken Soup for the Dog Lover's Soul canned food? That stuff smells so
good I'm tempted to try it! Another idea i f all else fails, there are some
companies out there that make "homemade" food that you can have shipped to you.

they NEVER ate any of them. They don't touch Chihuaha

eat the salad. I tried to introduce them to the new

what I can do? I am desperate.
