Here is some more information of what a dog can and cannot eat.. 3. turkey is an excellent source of protein and often a viable alternative for dogs who are _allergic_ (http://www.dogomania.com/forum/showthread.php?t=11185#) or sensitive to other sources like beef, chicken, lamb etc. where that "danger factor" comes in is when dogs who usually do not get anything but dry kibble are overfed with turkey skin during the holidays. the skin is very fatty and can cause pancreatitis.

Make sure you give the white turkey and not the dark...the dark can cause pancreitis. Also, make sure the stuff is not salty. and it should be a treat, not a meal...so do it in moderation. If you are attempting a raw or barf diet as a meal then do a lot of research first to make sure your baby is getting everything it needs and nothing it doesn't. I think it was too rich as a few hours later he vomited it up. He does really well with beef or chicken. What is everyone's opinion as to Turkey as dog food.
