Yea, I forgot to mention the fatty skin.....that is bad as well....I just never think of anyone feeding the skin, lol. But yep, the dark turkey and the fatty skin all have the same thing (can't remmy what it is called) that is very hard for a dog to digest and it can cause pancreatitis. But the white, in moderation, can be a great treat! I always make sure I bring home a big hunk of the best white to give to my chis....figured no one can complain about me wasting it....it would be the pat I would eat if I weren't a vegetarian, so it is just my share, lol Marsha

Make sure you give the white turkey and not the dark...the dark can cause pancreitis. Also, make sure the stuff is not salty. and it should be a treat, not a meal...so do it in moderation. If you are attempting a raw or barf diet as a meal then do a lot of research first to make sure your baby is getting everything it needs and nothing it doesn't. I think it was too rich as a few hours later he vomited it up. He does really well with beef or chicken. What is everyone's opinion as to Turkey as dog food.
