The 2 to 6 pounds is a show standard...that is what we breeders are suppose to shoot for so to speak....but they come in all sizes and a chi is a chi is a chi. You dont get miniature chis, there is no such thing. Really small ones are usually runts or have medical problems that keep them from growing properly. Standards are for long coat and short coat only with size in the 2 to 6 pound range full grown. A 2 pound dog is very tiny! My girl weighed about 4 pounds at 12 weeks and now is about 12 at 8 years and is not overweight. The pup is adorable tho*G* Ruby
