(question)

We originally shaved him one summer when it got real hot...for his
comfort...and he was so much happier and was so cute, that we just decided to
keep it short, lol. And of course when the vet would always brag about how cute
his cut was and how he always looked so clean, that just encouraged us further,
lol. Also, he was one of those that would always go outside and find the nasty
stuff he could and just roll and roll in it, lol....so it was easier to keep
short hair clean and it cut down on shedding. His pic is attached here again.

Remember, most l/c chis do not have this much hair. Joe was a double l/c or
with an undercoat as some call it. Most l/c's will not have a lot under the
neck ect. But, for a double l/c, I have seen it take a good two years to come
in as much as it is going to.

Why would you shave a long hair Chihuahua? I don't remember the photo, can you
please send it again. Beau hair growth seems to have come to a standstill. I
wonder if this is all the hair he will get? I'd like to see him get some more
around his neck and chest and some on his legs.
