My Pita had surgery in one of her knees. She had the surgery at 7 months. It took a while for her to get back to herself and run around, like 3 months. It took another almost whole year for her hair to grow back. The other leg does not seem to bother her at all so I left that one alone, she is now 3 and does not show any signs of the other leg bothering her. It depends on the grade of the luxating patella. - em :-)

It's both of his back legs. I was wondering how common this is in chihuahuas and how soon i need to have it corrected. the vet told me yesterday that the sooner i get it done the better. thanks in advance for all the advise!
