For his first year of life how often can she have time for him in a day? She needs to know her time/attention to him then will?affect what kind of dog he will become.
You said she was in school, is she working too and what does that mean to time away from the puppy? Can she arrange her schedule to assure he is properly house trained? Does she understand the importance of positive reinforcement (not the old school myths of "rub his nose in it"), does she get the idea that 2 minutes later after the crime the dog has no idea what your scolding him for? Does she realize she cannot leave him alone too long or when she does will he be protected from danger??maybe in a little pen keeping him seperated from potential danger? (and her home from potty accidents) Will she crate train? does she understand what that means? (especially appropo time limits) best, michelle and henry in the beautiful Catskill Mountains, NY -----Original Message----- From: dasha <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [email protected] Sent: Sat, 26 Jan 2008 11:38 am Subject: RE: [Chihuahuas] Questions for potential buyers How much time can she devote to the dog? I was just wondering what kind of questions everyone asks their potential buyers.? She has already filled out an application and is a college student living in an apartment.? she has no children a boyfriend and had a chi at her parents home but said he was really attatched to her mother more than her so he stayed home with mom and she is now (a couple of years later) looking for a puppy of her own.? Any suggested questions would be great.?
