Most breeders base their prices on quality, size, sex, color, location and registration (ei limited is cheaper, ect). Basically it is a buyers market, so the value is whatever someone is willing to pay. Yes, it is "normal" in the sense that most do it. Personally, I don't differentiate on any of my pups. I charge the same for all pups in the litter regardless of size, quality, registration level, ect. I do NOT ship, so my value is limited to the local area unless someone is willing to come here. And I have had a lot willing to do so! I have got pups as far away as NY and I am in KY. I basically add my cost of the litter (shots, registration, vet visits, ect) and divide by the number of pups to get my prices, lol. But yea, most will base on all of the stuff above. I'm just weird, lol
So what is a good price? Depends on how much you want the pup, lol. I tell people to look at their own local market to get an idea of what is a reasonable range for the quality of pup they are seeking. I am selling this litter for $300 each, CKC. This is my first CKC litter (always AKC before) so I am not entirely sure how things are gonna go down, but I do already have a potential buyer for the no tail and the pups are not even 4 weeks old yet.
