Greetings to you all, My name is Lisah, I live near Denver,
Colorado. I just got a 3-month little girl Chihuahua I named "Iota".
She is 2.5 pounds, beautiful light brown & white markings, and an
amazing temperament. Since I brought her home, she has been sporadic
with eating and drinking, sometimes great, and other times, no
interest whatsoever ( I raised Dobermans and Min Pins for 11-
years, and was a professional trainer for about 25-years, so this is
not new terrain, but I have never owned a Chihuahua) She has a touch
of giardia, and also a cough, both of which are being treated, and
are not serious. She came with a full health guarantee and from a
very good home, her eyes are bright, she loves to play, and it so
gentle and sweet. I just adore her, but I would like to know if
anyone out there can offer some advice on getting a reluctant pup to
eat, and any tips on this breed in general. Eating well is one issue
that I never ran across with my Dobies & Min Pins, though I have
dealt with it in premature pups, of course. I do have a needle-less
syringe for liquids if all else fails, and the old standby, Nutri-
Stat, but this isn't enough on a regular basis.
Thank you, it's a pleasure to be here!
