Like you, my family always had larger dogs. In my mind little dogs weren't
dogs at all, just little rat ankle biter things. I actually hated
chihuahuas, thought they were ugly and a lame excuse for a dog. After my
guinea pigs died my fiance and I decided to get a dog. Living in an
apartment meant we could not get a "real" dog. John insisted on a Chihuahua
but I wanted a Pomeranian. I considered myself lucky that he even agreed to
a dog so I went ahead and agreed on a Chihuahua and started looking up
information about them online. Oh my gosh, all the pictures I found were so
cute!! I was sold!! After much research I found a great breeder who lived
a few hours away. It was a long eight weeks waiting for our girl to be old
enough to go home (we put a deposit on her a day after she was born). We
brought Daisy home almost two years ago and have never regretted the
decision. She brings so much happiness into our lives, I just don't know
what I'd do without her! When we buy our first home (we are making an offer
on one on Monday) we are going to add to our Chihuahua family and get Daisy
a friend. Chihuahuas are such awesome little dogs!
